Tobias Romero (America, 1999) is a Cinematographer based in New York City and Los Angeles.
He is currently acquiring his BFA, studying Film & Television Production at New York University. Tobias plans to spend his time split between New York and California after graduation, but will go wherever his projects take him.
He has worked on numerous narrative films, spec commercials, documentary, and experimental shoots taking him from places like Tel Aviv, Israel to Ketchikan, Alaska. While Tobias prefers to DP, he’s also been an avid gaffer, assistant camera, and colorist.
Tobias is no stranger to the spotlight. His work has been selected multiple times for NYU’s showcase and featured in Washington Square News. He’s been accepted for a fellowship with Ghetto Film School and a four year internship with Warner Bros. leading him to his work on the Netflix show Fuller House.
Starting a media collective with his roommate, Tobias is always looking to find creative ways to improve his craft as a cinematographer. His Norwegian and Latino background help influence his unique visual style. He strives to work with a range of people and doesn’t allow one single genre to confine him as he continues to present his name and reputation in the industry.
When he’s not on set, Tobias can be found in the ocean surfing or on the mountain snowboarding.
