Our group chose to remake the scene when Fugui leaves in the morning from gambling and returns home to his father (roughly, 5:23-6:37). We tried to pay particular attention to the shots and cuts and additionally hoped our costumes and props would help orient audiences familiar with the film. In the second half of the scene, we also wanted to convey the relationship between Fugui and his father. Fugui shows very little interest in what his father has to say, making his father frustrated.
If possible, we'd prefer to not have this shown during lecture.
