This is my first shot animated in Mosley, it is also my first feature shot :)
I would like to share my workflow on how I approached this shot.
Layout:
The shot was assigned to me when the previous animator had began blocking, unfortunately I had to remove all those keys as the shot length and audio had changed when I started the shot.
Block:
Before I start working on the rig, I generally spend a good amount of time selecting the least number of good story telling poses and some breakdown poses to show the rhythm and timing of the shot.
Spline:
After turning the curves to spline mode, I will fix any technical problems that happens between the poses. During this Stage I will start adjusting the animation by adding more breakdowns and tightening up the movement.
Polish/final:
Tracking game! I will prioritise on hip and torso as it will affect the other part of the body. If I have more time I will track every single part of the body that is visible on the screen. That is probably the biggest difference in terms of animation quality between TV and Film as TV usually allocates very little time for each shot.
