Martine is a cinematographer focusing narrative film. After completing her Masters in Cinematography in 2015 in London, she remained in London to work in the film industry and now also works in Melbourne as well as her home country, Luxembourg.
Martine comes from a fine arts background, in which she has been working with an extensive array of different materials. As a tactile person, Martine has come to love the feel of textures of surfaces and objects. This understanding inspires Martine and translates into her work behind the camera and light.
She follows the flow of the story, lets the camera become a character on its own, carefully listening to the subjects, aiming to capture the story in the most truthful and honest manner when translating them into visuals.
Martine has shot award winning short films as well as working in commercials and promos. She also uses analog photography in which she aims to explore the feeling of the image, rather than the subject.
