As a child i was terrified of the 20s era animatronic named Laffing Sal. The sheer madness of her seemingly unending, unhinged and nonsensical laughter was disturbing and creepy to me. I wondered what provoked her character to be such a way and what sort of person would chose to create something representing such insanity. I made a film to express and share the type of feeling and mindset I got from seeing and hearing laffing sal with other animatronics at the Musée Mécanique.
