Kindness Cafe is a nonprofit coffee shop in Charlottesville Virginia that employs adults with cognitive disabilities. Kindness is both a place and a way to live, striving to be the friendliest coffee shop in our city and providing a space where people can learn from the amazing staff. This is the story of many pro-bono efforts to support Kindness Cafe with collaborative design and construction in spite of numerous challenges.
