JumpCut Goa visited the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The annual film festival receives thousands of delegates from all over the country, and even the world. Each day of the festival is packed with Film Screenings, Masterclasses by renowned filmmakers, Talks, and much more! We wanted to hear what the delegates had to say, and how they experience the festival. Keep watching to find out!

Started way back in 1952, IFFI aims at providing a platform to cinemas across the world to project the excellence of the art of film making.

Over 200 films from 76 countries will be screened at IFFI this year. The films have been divided into 23 exciting categories which will showcase the work of renowned filmmakers from all around the world. One to look out for is the Indian Panorama Section which will showcase twenty-six feature films and fifteen non-feature films. Don't miss the Silent Films with Live Music Section, this specially curated section pays tribute to a lost form of film viewing where three classics by three master filmmakers will be showcased. The films will be accompanied by a master pianist performing live during the movie. They even has a special section this year called Festival Kaleidoscope where it will premiere the Cannes 2019 Winner 'Parasite' and showcase many other fine festival films.

IFFI is India’s most prestigious festival and also the first International Film Festival held anywhere in Asia.
