The Jazz Republic Concert Series (formerly known as Jazz Eclectic) is back home at The Smith Center! Presented by KUNV 91.5FM Jazz & More, the evening features performances of original music by Founders and Producers, Bijon Watson, Niles Thomas & The Method Men who’s latest album release “It’s A Crossover Thang” is up for GRAMMY® Nomination… and very special guest, GRAMMY® Nominee, Jeff Hamilton Trio.

As one of the coolest and most influential presenters of the new jazz age, attracting an enthusiastic new-found audience, The Jazz Republic strives to increase the awareness and participation in diverse musical experiences worldwide. To this end, we present an eclectic blend of world-renowned artists including GRAMMY Winning and GRAMMY Nominees whose music and artistry embody The Art and Lifestyle of Jazz™.

Originality is what versatile drummer Jeff Hamilton brings to the groups he performs with and is one of the reasons why he is and has been constantly in demand throughout his career, recording or performing with artists such as Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbara Streisand, Count Basie, to the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, to name a few.

Bijon Watson’s career as a musician has taken him around the globe to perform for audiences worldwide and has recorded and performed with iconic artists, including Michael Bublé, the late Natalie Cole, Justin Timberlake, Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Harry Connick Jr., Diana Krall, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Arturo Sandoval, Barbara Morrison to Alicia Keys… and the list goes on.

Niles Thomas is a critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer previously signed under the EMI Music and Warner Bros Music umbrellas. As an artist, Thomas has toured the globe performing on stages worldwide and has had his original music licensed in film and television in Europe, Asia and America, including shows on HBO, NBC, TBS, Discovery Channel and Showtime, to name a few.
