This handmade box contains the essence of the movie Her, by Spike Jonze. The box is made to be a furniture piece for a collector, someone who enjoys not only the film, but what the film represents. Its wood grain coupled with the high-tech delivery method (SD Card) is a perfect marriage between the movie's stylistic design and the explored theme. The main focus is simplicity, something that could fit in your living room, but hides a deeper message of the movie's premise, characters and story. When you open the box, you hear the OS1 from the movie, as if you were receiving you very own device. The acrylic top alludes to the main character's (Theodore Twombly) quiet, introspective, and sensitive characteristics. He prefers observation and reflection rather than socializing so the character's essence is trapped within box, observing his surroundings but never quite interacting with it.
