Maxim Pozdorovkin is a Russian-American filmmaker based in New York. He is the director of The Truth About Killer Robots, an HBO documentary. His film Our New President premiered at Sundance 2018 where it won a Special Jury Award. Pozdorovkin's other films include: Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer (Emmy winner), The Notorious Mr. Bout (Sundance 2014), Clinica de Migrantes (HBO).
Ana Hedberg Olenina is an assistant professor of comparative literature and media studies at the School of International Letters and Cultures. Her teaching and research interests include 20th-century Russian literature and cinema, international film history, as well as film theory with an emphasis on media archeology, spectatorship, and performance. Her book Psychomotor Aesthetics: Movement and Affect in Modern Literature and Film (Oxford University Press, 2020) traces the ways in which early film directors, actors, and performance theorists used the psychological ideas of their time to conceptualize expressive movement and transference of emotion.
