An experimental film to understand the relationships of Life and Energy, through the conjuncture of metaphorical and scientific perceptions.
Center of the work exists Mayflies. Mayfly is known to have short life span, often time said 1 day after they are outside. Would a Mayfly feel their life length? The senses of long and short life are only told through our subjective view of life. The work captures a ephemeral moment in the imaginary time and space, to visually represent the artist's explanation of self-time.
Aesthetically, the work illustrates a contemporary interpretation of the state of trance, under Shamanic rituals. A fractal motion resembles a movements of fire, shimmering with the remnants of sparks represented as Mayflies. Audible elements are constructed among analog synthesizer, optically syncing an electrical light signals on a infinite path.
Along with hypnotic rhythms, Dr.Albert Einstein's famous recording has been inserted to explain the general principle of relativity, widely known as E=MC2. By extending the meaning of mass into living organisms, the work juxtaposes the metaphorical aspects of Life and the scientific meaning of Energy, to gain the depth of perceptions toward our existence.
