STATEMENT:
The film tackles the danger of miscommunication and how important it is that us humans stay out of the dark metaphorically. Whilst interpreting the theme Bright, I couldn’t dismiss the ying to this yang. Light and the lack of it go hand in hand. Black and white helps heighten this and accommodate the confusion that comes with the dark, so the viewer is disoriented from the start. When the lights go out the feeling intensifies, and they are experiencing the same confusion as it happens. The lack of brightness demonstrates how we underestimate the power of clarity.
