The film showcases Harry, a salary man who is tired of his job, on his way home from work. One night he is struck by a car. He gets to see the warm, comforting light of the afterlife, but he is pulled back by the car driver, who after confirming that Harry is not in serious danger, drives away, happy that the accidents wont have negative consequences on his life. Meanwhile harry lies on the road, having almost been freed and realising, that he will have to go back to work tomorrow. I would have liked to explore this idea further, but this is all i felt would fit in 3 minutes.
The film is written from an existentialist perspective, taking inspiration from the philosophy of Søren Kierkegaard. It juxtaposes real life, symbolized in the cold light from the car lights and the moon, with the promise of an eternally happy afterlife, symbolized by the “stairway to heaven”.
