24 Hour Day Off is a video work whereby the classic 80s slacker movie Ferris Bueller’s Day off is slowed down to two frames per second, creating a whole new way to experience the movie. Inspired by Douglas Gordon’s 1993 work 24 Hour Psycho, this piece is a more playful and lighthearted work but explores similar themes regarding authorship and the role of the imagemaker. The work was screened at Envoy Gallery, New York in 2009 in a truncated version.
