Grand Canyon Hike
The year was 1989, I think June. We ventured down the Kaibab trail with a tupperware container of water, light snacks and a 8mm film camera. At this time there are no iPhones to record video/audio, no auto stabilization, not even a viewfinder to see what you were shooting. The camera has a small 1/4 inch square you would look through that had no zoom and it did not even use the cameras lens to look thru. No screen to just watch what you recorded. Watch as we had to take shelter against the canyon walls when it started to pour down rain. Amanda was in the backpack shoved up against the Canyon wall as Richard and Carol were less sheltered as I found the best spot for Mandy and me.
The first of many other Grand Canyon Hikes for us all. This 8mm film is digitally restored (color-exposure-stabilization) and edited. Unfortunately I filmed more of the Grand Canyon than people, and I saved you that experience.
