Looking for a challenge to improve my demoreel, I found an impressive drone footage from Team BlackSheep : the drone is flying over the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco.
I matchmoved it as best as I could in 3DEqualizer, and tried to reconstruct the suspensions, wires and a tower of the bridge.
I made a test render that you can see at the end of the WIP video.
Now, I am wondering what I could do with that. How could I use that footage to create a sequence worth a Hollywood movie full of VFX ? Any idea ?
I had in mind using Houdini crowd system to make an army of men or chimps or whatever creature run over the suspensions, or maybe a grim reaper (inspired by Justin Leduc work) or an eye watching the traffic (inspired by Alex Andreev work), or a bridge attacked by monstruous giant plants (inspired by Alf Lovvold work), or any other explosive action... Let me know what you think, share your thoughts !
