Last year I worked in the sound design of this game called Shadow Brawlers from the argentinian studio Team Guazu (which you can buy on steam right now! Follow the link! https://store.steampowered.com/app/890310/Shadow_Brawlers/ )
Originally the opening is a videoclip (animation plus music from my friend Christian Perucchi). But I wanted to practice sound design a little bit more so I decided to use the assets of the game plus the sfxs that I felt the animation needed. The speed in which everything happens is so fast that it was quite a challenge to identify which sounds are the most essential to communicate the important actions.
I added the down tempo beat in the background cause it felt right to have something that contrasts with the speed of the visual information. Also, (pure casuality actually) its in sync with the hit points.
