Interstitial Climate Experiment (ICE). Animation sketch of large-scale installation with photography and video projection, audio storytelling, holographic and 3D sculpture, and a data visualization augmented reality mobile application. Current work-in-progress.
THANK YOU to the Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research (FGER) and the Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP) for inviting me to attend the summer 2021 expedition as artist-in-resident and science communication faculty. This project is inspired by this expedition, the people, the glaciers of Alaska, and the polar north in general. As an ongoing project, this work aims to visually articulate the decades of glaciological data collected by JIRP researchers and tell the millennial history of human exploration of glaciers in Alaska and Northern Canada.
