We had a lot of fun creating four interstitial animations for the FXX show Cake on Season 5 Ep.08 - Magic Touch.
The interstitials are served as a ‘palette cleanser’ which plays as transitionary animations between the program shorts. The theme of the episode was about conquering fears and revealing the ideas of ghosts and the magic within them. As we were given full creative freedom, we wanted to begin each animation with an abstract idea of fear being contained in a subject and surrealist environment; which essentially transforms into another element of freedom.
