Firefox OS "Haida" was a vision for the second generation of Mozilla's mobile operating system, created by a small team of Moz designers and engineers in 2013. We sought to define a "Truly Web" mobile experience, built on the unique strengths of the web platform and the web community. In October 2013 I produced this concept video to communicate the core features, from promotion of "browsing" into the heart of the operating system, to treating apps and sites as equals with as few distinctions as possible, to "open" replacing "install". The animation was created in After Effects from Illustrator wireframes.
