White Swans in Venezuela is a video Performance about a geopolitical conflict from an intimate perspective, once outside the country, I asume my body as a portion of Venezuelan territory and as a projection surface. During my stay in kvadraturen (city center of Kristiansand, Norway) I made a series of psycho-geographic tours, among I was making links with my migratory experience, the objects found in my transit and the current context of the countries that have been part of my tour To the east of the grid on the coast of the city I was glimpsed by the majesty of the white swans that were in the vicinity of the Austerhavna Port. A first approach was to make the documentation of both birds as an object of study and contemplation. The video was projected over my body in an action scheme for the camera, interpreting positions based on the Russian classical ballet of the Swan Lake. A gesture of projecting the video on my body, establishing it as an object, a projection support that in turn is a fragment of the Venezuelan territory. From this statement, I formulate a metaphor about the political situation that Venezuela is going through, the foreign war influence and my interpretation of the meaning of migration as an experience of isolation contrasting with swans, characterized by maintaining strong emotional ties with their partners and having a tendency to remain in community. All this was produced in Norway, a country that has participated as a mediator in Venezuelan political polarization in recent months.

The White Swan or Tupolev Tu-160 is a supersonic heavy bomber of variable geometry developed by Túpolev in the Soviet Union. It was the last Soviet strategic bomber design, being the heaviest fighter plane and the largest supersonic aircraft built in the world, it is called White Swan by the Russians due to its color and smooth lines. Currently, the air refueling maneuver is used to train the new fighter pilots and the bomber crew, and the crew of Russian tankers, on training flights from military bases in central Russia to the west, which fly through northern Europe and reach Venezuela, bordering the coast of Brazil and recently to Nicaragua, and flights to eastern Russia, over the Pacific Ocean, North Korea and bordering the border with China. Thus the name White Swans in Venezuela is the owner of a story in which the presence of war planes in the Venezuelan territory is notified, the work is constructed from a relationship of layers of contents and meanings.
