The third experiment with the new Grease Pencil 2.0 feature. The set is made from basic 3D primitives which then united together, then exported as an OBJ which is then imported. Then by using multiple cameras in the 3d scene. I essentially created multiple camera angles for a 2D animation which is taking place on top of a 3D set. Then using Cameras being set up or added to the 3D scene. It allows me to have multiple angles to work with. You essentially create a forced perspective which you then can animate the desired number of frames for that scene.
So I combined straight up 2D animation with a 3D set all via Blender and Grease Pencil 2.0. No need for any other program or post production tinkering. All done in one file and scene. I could even drawn on the set a lot of detail, no modelling or sculpting and usage of textures. All details be done by Grease Pencil.
