TOGETHER we Unite
Ya La’ford our mission is centered on creating art and experiences, which exist to immeasurably
transform and revolutionize the social, cultural and historic contexts of creative expression within the
human journey. Every community is defined by a measure of creativity and is weighed against a
backdrop of how art can add new dimensions of civic consensus, vibrancy and identity to local
boundaries and the world beyond. Mobilizing citizens to challenge conventional thinking and
understand the intrinsic value of exercising creative license within their communities, for us, is a lifelong
treasure.

For this reason, Together we UNITE serves as a sequel in essence to build upon the success of our
highly successful partnership which produced the Pitching-Promises mural with Rays Up for Kids
along with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Pinellas.
Community Footwork incorporates art installations and creative interactive interchanges engaging
athletes, community stakeholders and local youth along with the Rowdies fan base. The creation of
Community Footwork in conjunction with the Rowdies serves to continue the organization’s
commitment to energizing our community utilizing the collective power of art and sports.
Connecting Us All

TOGETHER we Unite, artWORK brings every FOOTprint to the FIELD and aims to be an
exciting, rewarding and dynamic experience. Since the beginning of time human PRINTS have served
as DNA that unites us as a species. This community installation seeks to highlight connectivity by
engaging and uniting the fan base, layering community, foot prints and paths, while also facilitating dialogue and exchange of ideas.

As a spectator of “the beautiful game” and the magic of the Rowdies experience, this interactive art
project engages participants with the opportunity to experience the importance of the role of personal
mark-making within the boundaries of an abstract soccer ball embedded into select surfaces at the Al
Lang stadium.
Design & Installation
The Ya La’ford studio crew will design and install a multi-series mural experience, featuring a ball with
geometric patterns while also incorporating the Rowdies color spectrum reflecting team-community
cohesion. Each participant (donning apron, gloves, safety goggles) will be guided in a process to
depress their foot to create a print on the mural as a symbol of our collective journey and the power of
the Rowdies experience.
