I keep hearing about this spot. A combination of needing to test our new Alexa Mini, and wanting to shoot some action sports brought me up to Duluth for an afternoon. It's an amazing spot. As I was watching the weather the days leading up to this, it seemed like the perfect time to go. The wind was right, the storm was dying down. As I approached Lake Superior from the top of the hill, it looked like glass. It felt like I had lost, there was no way that the waves would be good. I decided to keep driving, just to check the spot out, shocked to find at least 15 cars and trucks parked on the gravel road. The waves cresting at about 8-10 feet at times. Unreal. I got the camera out and sat back to watch some incredibly dedicated athletes braving the frigid water all in the search of great waves and good times. This is just a short sample of what I was able to get!
