A "dream job" Rowland received in 2011 after the passing of the broadcasting legend, Bob Barry, Sr.
Rowland was an award winning reporter and anchor at the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City prior.
His coined phrase "unhitch the wagon" is golden and he refers to OU's football stadium as "the palace on the prairie".
Rowland is also a fan of the the great, Craig Way, the voice of the Texas Longhorns.
Calling games at the Cotton Bowl for the Red River Rivalry for Rowland is deeper than the just the plays. He described the environment in a way only Rowland can.
