Over the past year, Covid-19 has struck the world and has impacted everyone’s mental health. College students and young adults have reportedly been hit the hardest with mental health issues. We take you now to Purdue University to see what they’ve set in place to help students combat mental health issues.

[Track 1]
Almost one year removed from a campus covid shutdown, Purdue is attempting to regain their normal operations. As university protocols begin to relax, Purdue is bringing back some of its most important events.

It’s Ag Week here at Purdue University and behind me they have an event set up. There’s going to be plenty more of these events on-going throughout the rest of the month. This would not be possible if it wasn’t for Purdue University’s attempt to get students back on campus and get them back into participating in more activities for the rest of the semester.

Purdue’s Ag week features a series of interactive activities for students. The return of school events is a welcomed sight for Purdue students, who have had limited options these past few semesters. Junior Julian Purvis recounts her experiences.

Purdue started offering vaccines to any student who wants one. This will allow for even more events to take place and allow students to return to their normal socialization.

Although the spring semester is coming to a close, there are still plenty of activities for students to get involved in as the school year winds down. Spring sports have started and the Spring Works dance event is in just a few days.
