This video was created for the purpose of meditation. Observe the movement of the water. Listen to the sounds of the waves. When your mind drifts into thought, just bring it back to the sights and/or sounds. Again and again.
A tennis ball ended up coming into the frame a couple minutes in and adds another element to focus on...and reflect on, too. Can you relate to that tennis ball being moved around by the waves? It reminds me of what it felt like being tossed around by waves of grief, as well as not having solid boundaries and being sucked in to unhealthy dynamics again and again. Or it might bring up a sense of playful interaction with the ocean.
The relationship between the tennis ball and the waves also can be experienced as a representation of how an untrained mind can be at the mercy of waves of thought. Do you find yourself hoping the ball will or won't move? If so, that's a thought, and the invitation is to bring your mind back to just the visuals and the sounds without adding mental commentary.
