Half Moon Bay Antigua will set a new benchmark for the luxury residential resort market in the Caribbean. On an arc of pink-tinted coral sand, 25-Rosewood branded residences, designed by Amsterdam based Studio Piet Boon, are being built. The two-, three- and five-bedroom hillside residences have private infinity pools and open-air shower gardens with live orchid walls, with prices starting at about $4 million. There's also a limited collection of just ten-“trophy properties” located on a dramatic peninsula overlooking the bay and on the beach, with land only prices from around $10 million. Custom made homes can then be built for approximately $5-7 million.
In this short video, Piet Boon discusses what makes the site so special and unique and how he has designed the properties to connect with the environment and the beach.
Half Moon Bay Antigua will launch a new standard of Caribbean living through its self-sustaining luxury and undiscovered beauty, from the thoughtfully designed residences set squarely on the beachfront or hillside, each home offers an exclusive opportunity to own a private sanctuary. At the core of the property's culinary programmes is a farm using Biodynamic methods of planting (based on astrology) and harvesting to produce fresh organic products. The Biodynamic Farm will be the first of its kind for any resort in the world.
Owners and guests will also have exclusive access to all the amenities and services available at the forthcoming ultra-luxury resort, Rosewood Half Moon Bay. Luxuries will include a full-service concierge, world-class dining and spa, an array of water sports and activities, along with an iconic cliffside cocktail lounge.
The unparalleled soft programming that the location offers the opportunity to have. It isn’t enough to say that Half Moon Bay is one of the best beaches in the world (and with 3,200 feet of coral sand it is!). Lots of our guests won’t be looking to spend all day at the beach. To provide what is required for today’s discerning high-net-worth traveller and their multigenerational family means accommodating for experiences at the highest level. For example, the bay is a world-class kitesurfing destination, so we’ll be ready to accommodate pro- kite surfers whilst providing the same level of service right through to a kitesurfing school for their children. Thirdly, we are a pioneer in regenerative, sustainable agriculture. All 132 acres at Half Moon Bay will be developed as a biodynamic property, a first for a resort.
Half Moon Bay in Antigua is known for its past residents such as Jackie Kennedy, Elton John, Audrey Hepburn, and even the royal family. This was thanks to philanthropist Bunny Mellon who hosted her esteemed guest at her private waterfront estate. The 132-acre slice of paradise that stretched out in front of her has remained unchanged for the past half century—until now.
Guests will get unobstructed views of the bay, intimate design, contemporary Caribbean architecture, and its easily customisable spaces and multipurpose rooms.
Facilities will include the expected five-star amenities - sports and spa experiences, while a funky West Indies cocktail bar on the rocks will provide a social hub. Less traditionally, the resort will be the first in the world with a biodynamic farm.
Completion date is set for 2022.
