Nexus Drone Photography footage was featured on a news feature on ITV News Anglia main evening programme, for a report on the children’s sailing charity My Blue Pass who commissioned the Blue Mermaid, a replica Thames barge that sailed from Mistley docks on 3rd June 2019.
The charity chose six young people to take part in a life and sail experience from Maldon to Mistley the previous week.
My Blue Pass provides opportunity for young people to participate in water sports who would not otherwise have the opportunity.
The original Blue Mermaid was built at Mistley in 1930 and destroyed by a German mine in World War II.
