Black teachers in 2021 are a rare sight in our schools today. The National Education Association has found that while students of color make up almost half of the public school population, teachers of color comprise only 7% of all teachers. On today's show Pennix talks with Dr. Michele Foster about the history of Black teachers. Dr. Foster is the recipient of many awards and honors, most notably the 2007 Spindler Award.
