Reckoning is a 3D Science Fiction Comic book series that can be read by the blind / visually impaired. The project involves 3D graphics, Motion Capture, immersible 3D panels on every page, inside which people can zoom and pan around.
Reckoning also sports 3D printable models virtually of everything you can see in the comic.
Not only that! A special edition of the comicbook will be made on laser engraved pages so that the combination of 3D printing techniques and the laser engraving can provide the tactile fedback needed for a visually impaired person to be able to read and experience a comicbook on their own terms providing them the experience and joy of reading a comic.
Pushing the envelope the intent is to make use of haptic feedback technology and making the comic fully accessible online for the blind and visually impaired as well with tactile feedback n'all.
