Jay talks with Ellen Fisher, Claudia Fiks, Mei-Yu Hsu, Sidney Hutter, Barney Levitt, Leann Shamash, and Juliia Talcott--all of whom are associated with Newton Open Studios, a nonprofit organization that produces community arts events that bring together the artists and residents of Newton. Ellen has served as the director since 2007 and Claudia has been the co-director for the past few years. Mei-Yu, Sidney, Barney, Leann, and Julia are some of the artists who will be participating in this year’s Newton Open Studios, which will be taking place on June 26, the rain date being June 27. During the program, we’ll be learning about the exciting plans for this year’s upcoming Newton Open Studios, we’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour with the artists who are joining us and, in the process come to better understand appreciate their artwork and what those of you watching and others can look forward to seeing on June 26.
