Hi, my name is LaIsla Esperanza. My name means the island of Hope. I will be 16 this year, going into the 11th grade. My name island of Hope means the island. I think over that's my happy place. And then the hope part; I hope for a better day to come in a better life with a family who's gonna love me and take care of me.

I like listening to music, but mainly I like playing the piano. I feel like when you play music on a piano is relaxing. I just like the sound of it and how it makes me feel. I grew up loving history like watching history movies like documentaries basically.

I like pizza, pasta, my favorite kind of pasta is chicken Alfredo. I love it. I like ice cream, which is like any kind of ice cream. I like Reeces candy like that like I love candy.

What comes to my mind when I hear adoption? A child or children, siblings being taken in by family they gonna be their parents like raising right and take him in under their wings and like nourished them like parents should do.

One day I will find hope to go and be happy in the world, you know. Not hurt or sad like without worrying about nothing. I just want a parent that’s gonna take me in, love me and treat me right.

La Isla describes herself as outgoing, kind, and unique. She likes to do arts and crafts, listen to music, and read. She also enjoys staying active and basketball is her favorite sport. When she grows up, she wants to be a military nurse so she can help others. Her dream destination is Africa because she is interested in learning about other cultures and lifestyles and how they differ from America. LaIsla would like a loving family with a mom and a dad and other children. She hopes to have a family that will help her stay motivated to reach her goals in life.
