In “Mr Krake”, Yaron Shamir sends us on a journey outside the walls of theaters, away from the familiar, to where the unknown plays the main role. This journey takes us past familiar places, monuments and sculptures, to objects that we have forgotten to pay attention to, that we take for granted every day and that suddenly take on a new meaning in such an extreme reality. Issues of closeness need to be renegotiated: safe distance, time, love, intimacy and transparency describe some of the conflicts in "Mr. Krake". A reality that we've had a lot to do with lately, each in their own way. A worldwide, but also a personal phenomenon that gives rise to reassessments.

Influenced by the paintings of the Belgian René Magritte, Yaron Shamir and his ensemble dance a dialogue in the connection between man-made and natural objects that lie next to each other and in this way create deceptive paradoxes, what is called automatic logic and what creates illusions.
