Aimee Barreto is a professional government contractor with over two decades of experience. Based in Odenton, Maryland, she has spent a good portion of her time throughout her life making sure she is at her peak performance for each of her employers.

In addition to having years of work experience, Aimee Barreto is a highly educated individual. She attended the Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences, where she graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy. Afterward, she attended the Syracuse University Martin J. Whitman School of Management and obtained her Master of Business Administration in 1998.

Years later, Aimee Barreto returned to school to further her higher education. In 2017, she graduated from the George Washington University School of Business with a Master of Science in Government Contracts; one year later, she got her Graduate Certificate in Accounting from the same school. Most recently, Aimee got her Master of Studies in Law from the George Washington University Law School.

Throughout her professional career, Aimee Barreto gained a number of skills, all of which she improved upon through her work experience. Her responsibilities at work include, but are not limited to: forecasting, pricing, budgeting, cost control, monitoring, tracking analysis, and financial reporting.

More specifically, Aimee Barreto is well-versed in four areas: financial management, contract management, task management, and business development.

In financial management, she has set up Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for project control timesheet charging reporting, conducted plans versus actuals in financial analysis, prepared monthly invoices, reconciled monthly billing, and more. Aimee Barreto is also familiar with processing payroll and supporting the annual budget process.

Aimee Barreto became skilled in managing negotiations with contract management—she reviewed, drafted, and negotiated terms and conditions for risk and acceptability. She ensured adequate funding was available for those who needed it by maintaining accurate records and submitting timely requests for additional funding.

As a task manager, Aimee Barreto knows how to prepare task plan proposals and provide cost estimate inputs for contractor task reports (CTR). She has tracked technical, schedule, and cost performance through financial data analysis and reporting and managed subcontractors by flowing down SOW requirements.

In business development, Aimee Barreto developed labor rates by using survey analysis for cost volume proposals. She utilized multiple salary survey sources and participated in proposal team meetings.

Of course, all of these skills only brush the surface of Aimee Barreto’s experience and expertise. She is proficient in her field and puts her all into making sure each task and responsibility is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
