Lucie Newcomb has trained entrepreneurs in Brunei and Malaysia, helped found a business council in South Africa, and mentored women in technology from the Middle East and Africa.
More than 30 years ago, she founded The NewComm Global Group, an international management consulting firm. The company’s clients include the U.S. Department of State and top global brands as well as small startups. Newcomb has formed key partnerships between The NewComm Global Group and Global Tech Women and the World Sustainable Energy Initiative.
MOTO :
The objective here is to inspire women to step into, which have predominantly been male dominated industries, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This competition aims to enthuse women to be more entrepreneurial and empowering them with the necessary business skills needed to be entrepreneurs.
Women in STEM, an initiative by Meera Kaul Foundation, will recognize and reward women entrepreneurs and executives at the Women in STEM Conference and Awards Ceremony which will be held in Dubai on January 15th, 2015.
The initiative offers STEM entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their inspirational stories, personal and professional, in the form of a two minute video. The contestants can record their video even from their cell phones. The winners will be selected on the basis of their promoting ambition and resilience and not the success or failure of the venture or job. The videos will be aired at Women in STEM Awards 2015
