'En Chemin' is a collective project about the desire to travel and the need to flee.
This project finds its origin in our collective vision of theater: to tell stories and to let experiences dialogue. Since years, the themes of the project are important to us as individuals. Because of the actual sanitary situation, the urgency became stronger: we miss travelling and it became even harder to flee.
We also consider this project as an experiment into the formation of a collective.
We consider all members of the collective as theater makers without predefined roles.
We made this play during a residency in Turbul', a 'circus factory' in Nîmes (France). Turbul' is an organisation which takes part of the ideology of popular education, an alternative place which exists out of the traditional institutions.

‘En Chemin’ is een collectief project over de zin te reizen en de nood te vluchten.
Dit project vindt zijn oorsprong in onze collectieve visie van theater: het vertellen van verhalen en ervaringen in dialoog brengen. De thema’s van het project zijn sinds jaren al belangrijk voor ons als individu. Door de huidige sanitaire situatie, is de urgentie sterker geworden: wij missen op reis zijn en vluchten is nog moeilijker geworden.
Wij zien dit project ook als een onderzoek naar het vormen van een collectief. Wij zien alle leden als theatermakers zonder vooraf vastgestelde rollen.
Wij hebben de voorstelling gemaakt tijdens een residentie in Turbul’ een ‘circus fabriek’ in Nïmes (Frankrijk). Turbul’ is een vereniging die deel uitmaakt van de ideologie van het volksonderwijs, een zelfstandige, alternatieve plek die losstaand bestaat van de traditionele instituties.
