Join Elandriel Lewis of United Way of Greater Nashville as she presents "Early Math Matters." Early math fluency has been shown to be one of the biggest indicators of future literacy and school success. Unfortunately, many early childhood educators are uncomfortable with teaching math. This session will provide an introduction to why teaching math is important in early childhood, and simple techniques to embed mathematical learning throughout the day.
This session is appropriate for teachers, instructional coaches, leadership, and caregivers of children birth to age 5. 1-hour of TN DHS credit is available upon completion of this reflection form forms.gle/DBdctRawh85HPC747.
