Grace Zhao is a 2018 CST Graduate Gladys Neale Award recipient. Growing up, Grace understood the importance of quality health care while witnessing her father undergo complications from Type 2 diabetes. Her father’s condition, combined with the desire to help people, influenced Grace to pursue an education in health sciences. She is currently a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto and is concurrently pursuing a Masters of Science in System Leadership and Innovation at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. Grace is interested in impacting change within the healthcare system. She is grateful for the generous support her CST Graduate Award has in funding her post-secondary education.
