Data science encompasses AI, and AI encompasses ML, along with other variations of AI that we covered in the introductory course, like symbolic logic expert systems, AI planning, and more. The MLrobot continues even further to encompass additional areas of study, like deep learning, which is one of the most talked about subareas of machine learning.
Deep learning performs machine learning in a hierarchy of layers, where the output of decisions from one layer, feeds in to the next layer. This model is loosely patterned after the brain's neural networks and has been setting new records of accuracy when applied to sound and image recognition.
