When our bodies get an infection, the immune response is coordinated inside the lymph node. A whole range of different cell types need to work together inside the lymph node to put together this response.
In this video, we discuss some of the work done by the Acton Lab. They investigate how the various cell types inside a lymph node (including dendritic cells, T-cells, and fibroblasts) communicate with one another to build a strong immune response. This includes cellular signalling that changes the actual shape of the lymph node.
