My heart dances with joy when we are together
when I see your people and seaside for that matter
when I hear the rides and joyful laughter
and see the man at the pier waving to his daughter.

My heart dances with joy when I feel wind and rain
and I see runners and dogs promenade
on your seaside at any time and weather
the colorful beach huts do make that better

My heart dances with joy when I walk through your streets
with a smile on my face and red blushy cheeks
when I find new corners and messages hidden
You see, Brighton, I am definitely smitten!

With your seagulls and pebbles and surfers and waves
and your sounds and smells and feelings and tastes
we were made for each other, I am certain you know
I can tell from the way you so lovely glow.

But my heart breaks when I leave. Every time.
Longing for more, your embrace, your smile
Longing for sunsets and music, for drinks and a chance
for all that you give and your gentle romance.

I promise to come back as soon as I can,
So you can make my heart dance, again.
