Thoughts on the EVA:

I had this camera rented as a 3rd camera for a wedding this past summer, and decided to take it out for some fun. I have finally been able to find some time to edit together some footage. I was really impressed with this camera. The color and what you can do with it is absolutely amazing. Dynamic range seems great too. The codec options make working with this camera effortless. There's a few downsides, mostly in that it feels like a not quite finished product. The side grip feels a little odd and the lcd is a mess. I've heard a lot of people complain about it not being bright enough and being very reflective, which is kind of a given regardless of what camera you're using. No matter the camera it's always a good idea to have an external monitor. The problem I had with the lcd was the hood. It's very flimsy and gets in the way. The lcd seems to be entirely touch screen. Trying to get my fingers on the screen and through the menus around the hood was a little clunky. I'm sure there's other ways to go through the menus but I couldn't find it. For a touch screen lcd it was very difficult to touch. I'd also love the ability to record to CFast cards internally, but that's more of a personal preference. One of the bigger let downs was no 4k 60 in 10 bit. For a camera that's many times more expensive than the GH5 I would hope it could go up to 4k60 10 bit, but what can ya do. Overall great camera, loved using it.
