My role on this envrionment scene was art direction and look development. I came up with the idea and story driving this scene, along with the color sceme and initial composition. I collaborated with Levi Davis on bringing this project to render, where he worked on staging, lighting, rendering, and compositing. I assembled the models which I purchased from online, textured all models in Substance Painter, and shaded the scene in Maya Arnold.
The scene was inspired by my longing to return to California, and I made this piece while working on applications for many west coast animation studios. The name of the project, "Surfin' USA," is of course inspired by the song by The Beach Boys.
