Welcome to the first episode of Move of the Month! On the last Sunday of each month, at least until the end of the year 2019, I will share a dance movement I learnt. Any suggestions are welcome. The rule is that whatever movement I show should be new to me. It should be one that I had never done or never knew how to do.

This month, I learnt a few new moves in professional classes with Yukiko Masui, at The Place. I decided to demonstrate this one because it develops one of my favourite shoudler rolls into something quite unexpected!
Start as if you would go 'around the world' across the shoulder girdle. When your legs get halfway around, use your arms and hands to push yourself back up on your feet.
