Mindi Abair is not just a saxophonist and vocalist. She is also an author and National Trustee for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (those who deliver the Grammy Awards). Along with her ten solo albums, she has toured and/or played with Aerosmith, the Backstreet Boys, Bruce Springsteen, and a host of others, not to mention performing two seasons on American Idol.

She discusses with Mirit growing up in a musical, on-tour family, the daughter of a sax player and keyboardist and the grand-daughter of a soprano opera singer who was also a piano and vocal instructor.
