[EN] Narcissus drowned because he tried to grab his own reflection on the surface of a lake; he died not only from misunderstood self-love, but also because he thought the reflective surface was a human being. Every self-representation is just a mimicry game of something strange that lures us into his spell, solely by imitating us.

[DE] Narziss ertrank, als er versuchte, sein eigenes Spiegelbild auf der Oberfläche eines Sees zu fassen; er starb dabei nicht nur an missverstandener Selbstliebe, sondern auch, weil er dachte, die reflektierende Oberfläche sei ein menschliches Wesen. Jede Selbst-Repräsentation ist nur ein Mimikry-Spiel von etwas Fremden, das uns in seinen Bann zieht, indem es uns nachahmt.
