Audio Visual Installation with Performance.
This project was honored to hold space at Saudi Arabia's first independent and official techno rave. This was also the nations first official permitted dance floor at a music event.
In this installation, the artist creates a choreography (Robustly acted out by interchangeable performers. Here, in this video, Is Nur Taibah).
Movements that are influenced by both the glory of light, but also the fear of being put on the spot. The spirit of this performance speaks to a feeling all too familiar; The comprehension of change.
The sound and lights are controlled by programmed systems. And in a way, the artwork consist of two performers that dance in combat with each other. The light and the human body. Ephemeral and the physical. The collective and the individual.
