"I have a dream" are just four of the inspiring words spoken by Martin Luther King Jnr. during his sixteen-minute address to protesters calling for equality under the law in 1963 - the centennial year of the Emancipation Proclamation. Anachronisms and gender-biased language notwithstanding, MKL's inspired vision of hope stands as a shining example of great oratory and worth listening to in its **entirety.
A generation later, the struggle for freedom and justice again spilled onto the streets of America and cities around the world.
In contrast to the conflict that has initiated its completion, my first, and to date only, attempt at remixing was inspired by the infinite possibility of love.
One night circa 2007, I set my mind to mixing a complete recording** of the Civil Rights leader's iconic speech with sypahetic sounds and music sampled from my persoanl CD collection including blues & hip-hop, among other contempory artists and composers
I never intended to post the audio track publicly, however given the context and educational merit, it's hoped their inclusion might be considered fair use at this time.
I also never envisaged a visual component and trust the transcript serves to illustrate the speaker's intention and the typography neither distracts the viewer's attention, nor detracts from MKL's vision at large.

**It's been noted that the source material had been previously edited to omit the following audio: "We cannot be satisfied as long as the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their self-hood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating: "For Whites Only."
