There are some hymns that just make you want to get up and march. "The Church's One Foundation" is one of these. The tune was composed by Samuel Wesley, a composer and well-known organist who also happens to be the nephew of Charles Wesley. The text was written by Rev. Samuel John Stone, inspired by conflicting theories and ideas in his time to write a hymn to proclaim that the foundation of the church rests solely in Jesus Christ. "The Church's One Foundation" still resonates today for us to look to Christ as the foundation of our faith and our church, and hope for our future.
